El Comitè Organitzador es complau a convidar-vos a la 9th Annual MetNet International Meeting i 1st Spanish-French Nuclear Receptors Joint Meeting centrades en Nuclear Receptors and Metabolism. The MetNet-NuRCaMeIn-French Liaison, que tindran lloc a Barcelona els dies 10 i 11 d’octubre de 2023. Es tracta d’una trobada internacional conjunta que reunirà especialistes de tres xarxes de recerca diferents que comparteixen interessos científics comuns: la Xarxa Catalana de Metabolisme (MetNet), la xarxa espanyola de Receptors Nuclears en Càncer, Metabolisme i Inflamació (NuRCaMeIn) i els grups francesos que treballen en receptors nuclears. En aquesta trobada es tractaran les activitats dels receptors nuclears en diferents contextos de salut i malaltia, amb un focus principal en el seu paper en el metabolisme, on presenten importants accions biològiques, patològiques, així com farmacològiques. La trobada proporcionarà un ambient excel·lent perquè els investigadors comparteixin els avenços recents en els camps del metabolisme i els receptors nuclears, i trobin vies de sinergia d’una manera multidisciplinària i complementària.

Termini d’inscripció: els participants que enviïn comunicacions hauran d’enviar el resum i registrar-se abans del 15 de setembre. Els que no enviïn comunicacions es podran inscriure fins al 3 d’octubre de 2023.

El preu de la inscripció inclou l’accés a totes les conferències i al llibre de resums (versió en PDF), així com menjar i begudes durant les pauses del cafè, i el dinar del 10 d’octubre.
Comunicacions i resums: data límit de presentació, 15 de setembre de 2023.
Us animem a presentar comunicacions. Es duran a terme dues sessions de pòsters al llarg del congrés i se seleccionaran fins a nou comunicacions per a fer-ne la presentació oral.
Els resums enviats han de tenir un títol informatiu, la llista d’autors i afiliació o afiliacions, i un resum de la recerca, i s’han de lliurar en el format següent:
- Font: Times New Roman, cos 10.
- Espaiat: senzill.
- Marges: els marges superior, inferior, esquerre i dret han de ser de 2,5 cm.
- Títol: escrit en majúscules i que no superi els 250 caràcters, amb espais inclosos.
- Afiliació: quan els autors tinguin afiliacions diferents, indicar la correspondència autor-afiliació amb un número
- Autor de correspondència: senyaleu-lo amb un asterisc i proporcioneu la seva adreça de correu electrònic.
- Resum: no ha de superar els 1.800 caràcters, amb espais inclosos.

Si voleu fer-ne una exposició oral, indiqueu-ho a la inscripció.
El Comitè Científic revisarà i aprovarà els resums i, entre ells, en seleccionarà fins a nou per a fer-ne presentació oral. La resta de comunicacions es presentaran en format pòster (mida del pòster: 2 m de llargària × 1 m d’amplària).
Borses de viatge
La Societat Espanyola de Bioquímica i Biologia Molecular (SEBBM) finança sis beques per cobrir les despeses de viatge d’investigadors júniors (predoctorals i postdoctorals) procedents de fora de Barcelona. Per a sol·licitar l’ajut s’ha de ser membre de la SEBBM. Els candidats seran seleccionats pel Comitè Científic i aprovats per la SEBBM.
Els resums s’han de penjar en el moment de la inscripció (obríem les inscripcions en breu), indicant si es desitja una presentació oral.

The Organizing Committee is pleased to invite you to the 9th Annual MetNet International Meeting / 1st Spanish-French Nuclear Receptors Joint Meeting on Nuclear Receptors and Metabolism. The MetNet-NuRCaMeIn-French Liaison that will take place in Barcelona from October 10th to 11th, 2023. This is a combined international meeting that brings together specialists from three different research network sharing common scientific interests, the Catalonian Metabolism Network (MetNet), the Spanish network on Nuclear Receptors in Cancer, Metabolism and Inflammation (NuRCaMeIn), and the French groups working on nuclear receptors. In this meeting, the activities of nuclear receptors in different contexts of health and disease will be covered, with a main focus on their role in metabolism, where they display major biological, pathological as well as, pharmacological actions. The meeting will provide for an excellent atmosphere for researchers to share recent advances in the fields of metabolism and nuclear receptors, and find pathways for synergy in a multidisciplinary and complementary manner.

Registration deadline: Participants submitting communications should send the abstract and register before September 15th, 2023. Those who do not submit communications will be able to register until October 3rd, 2023.

Registration fee includes free access to all conferences and to the abstract booklet (pdf version), as well as, to food and refreshments during coffee breaks, and a finger food-lunch on October 10th.
Communications and abstracts: Deadline for submission: September 15th, 2023.
Research communications are strongly encouratged. Two poster sessions will be hold along the meeting, and up to 9 communications will be selected for short talk presentation.
Submmitted abstracts need to have an informative title, the author list and affilliation(s), and a research summary, and to be formated as follows:
– Font: Times New Roman 10.
– Spacing: Use single spacing.
– Margins: Top, bottom, left and right margins should be 2.5 cm.
– Title: Written in capital letters and no longer than 250 characters, including spaces.
– Affiliation: when the authors have different affiliations, indicate the author-affiliation correspondence with a number.
– Corresponding author: Indicate with an asterisk and provide his/her e-mail address.
– Summary: It should not be longer that 1800 characters, including spaces.
If oral presentation is desired, indicate it at submission.
Template for the presentation of asbtracts
Scientific Committe will review and approve the abstracts and, among them, will select up to 9 for oral presentation. The rest of the communications will be presented as posters (poster size: 2 m length x 1 m width).
Travel grants
The Spanish Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SEBBM) is providing funding for six fellowships to covert travel expenses for junior (predoctoral and postdoctoral) investigators coming from outside Barcelona. SEBBM membreship is required to apply. Candidates will be selected by the Scientific Committee and aproved by SEBBM.
Abstracts should be uploaded at the time of registration (will open shortly), indicating if oral presentation is desired, at the webpage.
